Screen Breaks: Look Away from Your Device
Take an offscreen break after reading or computer work. Learn the 20-20-20 reminder and how a quiet timer can help you step away.
Looking at a calm animation is still looking at a screen. If you want an eye break, turn your gaze away from the device; the visual scenes below are optional attention breaks, not eye treatments.

How to use these breaks
- Pause the task and look at something away from your device.
- Use the 20-20-20 reminder: about every 20 minutes, look around 20 feet (6 metres) away for 20 seconds.
